The director of DataUpdaters spent far too many of his formative years pottering
around databases, much of them at BT's R&D site in Martlesham, before briefly
operating a specialist catering business. It was whilst sourcing the supplies for
this business that the genesis of DataUpdaters was formed - supplier's websites
were regularly found to contain information that was out of date, proudly stating
that it was last updated 2 years ago. This laxity was not because the supplier was
in any way tardy or disinterested, it was that their business was in supplying ingredients or packaging, not in updating websites.
A family relocation to South Wales
meant an opportunity to start something else - a business that supplies other businesses
with the facility to keep their own websites up-to-date without having to have dedicated
IT staff or pay for regular, expensive, redesigns.
We now provide data-entry and data-updating operations to small
businesses who want to spend their time on their actual business, not on fiddling
with websites and databases.
